I grew up in a small dairy farming community in Eastern
Wisconsin called Plymouth (yes, I know my cheese), and lived there until heading
to Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. After hearing from so many fellow
Creighton students that Minneapolis was such a great city, I decided to move
here after accepting a position with KPMG. I have a broad background in Finance
and Accounting that I gained from my years at KPMG, from controllership roles
at a couple of smaller manufacturing companies, and as a V.P. of Finance at Sick,
Inc. I then spent seven years as a contractor for Certes.
People were constantly telling me that I would be great at sales, which I wasn't sure to take as a compliment to my sales skills or an insult to my accounting skills. So when I joined Certes as a contractor, I almost immediately began to consider getting into a sales role with Certes. When the opportunity to join Perm Placement opened up, I jumped at the chance. As a result, I made the transition into helping clients and applicants find each other for long and happy working relationships.

I enjoy spending time with my wife and two boys. I can generally be found at some kind of athletic facility, either coaching my boys or playing hockey or basketball. I also like water skiing, windsurfing, hunting, fishing, trips to the Boundary Waters, and of course, like any man, shopping for window treatments with my wife. I enjoy doing home and yard improvement projects. I have been blessed with a great group of friends, some of whom I met in my first days at KPMG oh so many years ago. We still get together at least monthly and take a couple of weekends away each year to talk smart and solve the world's problems.

I believe in being a good parent, and that means saying "no" a lot. I believe that you're never too old to learn. I also believe that in life, quality is more important than quantity. Everyone wants to live a long life. I want to live a great life, no matter how long. |
