I grew up in Fort Dodge, Iowa, and graduated from the University of Northern Iowa (a CPA factory) with a B.S. degree in Accounting. I have worked in various financial and operational roles from auditing, external reporting, financial analysis, cost accounting, and operations to VP of manufacturing with Recovery Engineering (PUR), Graco, and KPMG. After 9 years of finance and 9 years in operations, I came to Certes for life balance and an opportunity to spend more time with people. I have found working with people is what makes me happy.

Family time ranks number one on my list. My husband, Kent, is also a CPA (we met at KPMG) and is a very good client! We have two children, a son who just graduated from the University of St. Thomas and will be continuing his education with a masters in accountancy and a daughter who is a young marketing professional here in the Twin Cities. We also enjoy spending time at our cabin near Brainerd. I love coffee and chocolate and make sure I have each every day. I like to be busy which drives my family crazy at times - too much multitasking for them. I am an active member of the MNCPA, AICPA, FEI and NAWBO in addition, I am a Menttium 100 mentor; participate in a CEO Roundtable and am a First Impressions volunteer. I also enjoy pilates, weight lifting, biking, boating, down hill skiing and gardening.

I believe you should have fun at work, laugh a lot every day, work hard, play hard, and take time to say thank you. |
